Does Fleetpin share information back to the NZTA when NZTA Sync is enabled?

We have had a few questions about whether Fleetpin sends information back to the New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) when the NZTA Sync add on is enabled. To clear things up, NZTA Sync is a one way flow of information. The add-on only pulls data that the NZTA already holds into Fleetpin and nothing travels back the other way.

The data NZTA Sync retrieves is publicly available and therefore is not a breach of the privacy act. This includes registration, WoF, CoF and RUC expiry dates.
