Why We Need It for RUC Assist™
RUC Assist™ is designed to automatically purchase new RUC licenses for you before your current ones expire, ensuring continuous compliance without you having to manage the process.
This seamless automation requires an equally automatic payment method. Fleetpin acts as a direct transfer agent, moving your funds to NZTA to complete the purchase—we are not financing the RUC.
If we relied on sending an invoice and waiting for approval and payment, a gap would occur. During this gap, your RUC could lapse, which is precisely the problem RUC Assist™ is built to prevent.
GoCardless eliminates this risk. It allows Fleetpin to request and collect the payment upon making the RUC purchase, removing the need for manual approval steps or delayed bank transfers, thus keeping the system fully automated.
